Our generic transit time measurement system has been audited and recertified by TÜV Rheinland! Our system for transit time measurements of single letters and bulk mailings continues to meet the criteria of the European standards DIN EN 13850, DIN EN 14534 and DIN EN 14508.
What are the benefits of certified transit time measurements?
Due to the strong competition in the market, service quality expectations are constantly increasing for both postal service providers and their customers.
Many public tenders already include requirements for postal service providers to prove their service quality. In contrast to parcels, there is no seamless tracking of standard letter items all the way to the recipient. Therefore, statistical methods are used to evaluate the quality of service, based on the European standards DIN EN 13850, DIN EN 14534 and DIN EN 14508. This is where our transit time measurements come into play.
Getting to the result simply and precisely – who doesn’t like that?
Each of our test shipments for transit time measurements starts in our lettershop. It doesn’t matter whether it’s letters, advertising mail or parcels: Here, the test shipments are put together, quality controlled and prepared for their journey to the recipient. Once they have been inserted into the desired delivery chain, the actual transit time measurement begins. To obtain the necessary data, we use tracking technologies such as RFID tags and live trackers, as well as trained Mailagents panelists who send, receive and report test items. This process can be viewed and evaluated in real time through our Real-Time Performance Management™ platform. In addition to verifying compliance with standards, accurate data and a user-friendly interface on our platform make it easy to derive targeted actions to improve service quality.
