Spectos Mailagents
Improving Service Quality Together with our International Panel
Mailagents are the study participants of the Spectos test panel. Since 2004, our international panelists have supported numerous quality measurements for companies from logistics, consumer services, ecommerce and other branches. For this, they answer surveys and evaluate products and quality of specific services. The main task of the Mailagents is to check and report on the delivery quality of postal and parcel items. To do so, Mailagents in selected regions are asked to act as sender or recipient and to provide feedback on the delivery of addressed and unaddressed mail items.

How to become a Mailagents panelist?
Internationally, Mailagents can sign up for our long-term quality measurements and market research studies and receive incentives for this. Mailagents can leave the panel at any time. To participate in surveys and test mailings, registration is always required at the beginning. Every person who has reached the age of 18 and lives or is registered in the country being surveyed can become a Mailagent. It is also necessary to have an own email address and to be reachable by phone. Every activity of the Mailagents is rewarded with so-called Spectos Cents. These bonus points can be redeemed through vouchers at more than 200 partners. Cash payment of the bonus points is not possible.
The Mailagents at the Core of Postal Quality Measurements
One of the main tasks of the Mailagents is to participate in transit time measurements. For this, our study participants agree to act as senders of test mailings or to empty their mailboxes and check their inboxes for test mailings every day during a specified period. Test mailings are mailings that are sent based on the measurement design of the corresponding study to check transit times and delivery quality of postal service providers. The test items come from different senders and vary in their form. They can be, for example, invoice letters, customer information, items from offices and authorities, catalogs or parcels. From the outside, they cannot be recognized from any regular shipment. Each test item is given a clearly legible key number, the so-called i.code.
Ways to Provide Feedback as a Mailagent
Each shipment is identifiable through a unique key number (i.code) and is only valid for a certain period of time. Within 24 hours, study participants have to submit the key number via website, fax, email, phone or the Inspector App. Additionally, our in-house call center will contact study participants by phone to collect as many results as possible for the long-term study. If there is no timely submission of the response via any of the above methods, the code will be forfeited and there will be no reward.
Data Protection
As an independent and TÜV-certified institute for field and quality studies, Spectos takes the protection of privacy very seriously. We give great importance to the protection of personal data. In this context, the data of our study participants is used exclusively for the purpose of delivery measurement. Furthermore, we never share the data with third parties and do not make any attempts to generate additional sales.
