At Spectos, it’s our people who make all the difference when it comes to innovation and excellence. Today, we are excited to introduce Benjamin Sonnenschein, our Senior Business Analyst and Lead Service Designer, who has been an integral part of our team for over 10 years.
A Journey of Growth and Dedication

Benjamin’s journey with Spectos began with a recommendation from a friend. It was a pivotal moment as he re-entered the workforce after a long period of illness. Over the past decade, he has worn many hats, evolving from a call center agent to his current leadership role.
In his role, Benjamin is responsible for shaping both internal and customer-driven requirements for the Spectos RTPM™ (Real-Time Performance Management) Suite. He provides support to his colleagues on service management processes and collaborates closely with the management team to streamline operations. His goal is clear yet impactful: to create value every day, whether for himself, his colleagues, the company, or Spectos’ customers.
A Passion for Problem-Solving
What excites Benjamin most about his work is the opportunity to constantly learn and improve. “Part of my job is to ask questions and improve processes and things,” he shares. “I’ve learned to question myself and the world around me, and I’m constantly trying to improve myself in the process.”
Among his proudest projects is the standardization and enhancement of the Customer Dialogue System (CDS), a product he has been involved with from the very beginning. “I think it’s a great product, and I’m thrilled to contribute to its development.”
One of the biggest challenges Benjamin faces is simplifying complex topics in a way that is easily understood. “It’s fascinating how different people perceive things and how small details can make a big difference. The biggest challenge in my job is ensuring that everyone has the same understanding.”
Creating, Collaborating, and Unwinding
At work, Benjamin thrives in a dynamic environment fueled by innovation, collaboration, and, of course, countless cups of coffee. With a breathtaking view of the Elbe River from the office, he finds inspiration in both his surroundings and his colleagues.

Outside of work, Benjamin enjoys quality time with his family, long walks with his dog, cycling, and experimenting in the kitchen. Hosting barbecue evenings is one of his favourite ways to unwind and connect with friends.

For those aspiring to work in service design or business analysis, Benjamin offers a simple yet profound piece of advice: “Never stop asking! You can only improve what you understand yourself.”
Looking ahead, he is most excited about the opportunities to shape the future. “The future is here and now. Through our developments, we have the opportunity to shape the future and create pioneering products.”
