CTQ Analysis

The CTQ Analysis (critical to quality) defines all of the characteristics critical to the quality of a product, a process or a system. The stronger the individual operating sequences, applied resources and the people which influence the overall quality of the product or service resulting from them, the more their relevance affect the overall system.

These relevant processes must be implemented meticulously and without errors in order to keep the overall performance ideal. In principle, one differentiates between customer-critical (What is important to the customer?), process-critical (What is important for the provision of service?) and guideline-critical (Are there legal regulations or standards to observe?) characteristics. CTQ’s show up in the result factors of a process and are determined by the input factors of the process.
